Thanks to a generous donation, I now have a Radeon 9200 AGP card. Looking at the XFree86 driver, the Radeon chipset appears to be considerably simplier to program than E.g. a Matrox, so a port of the XFree driver shoudln't bee too difficult. The only problem is that I do not currently have the time to even start. If anyone else wants to take a crack at an accelerated Radeon driver for Syllable, please feel free!

25th February 2004: Michael Krugger has written a Radeon driver, mostly based on the Linux 2.6 Radeon framebuffer driver v0.2 It is currently being tested, bug fixed and refined but is known to work on cards from the 7500 to 9200 (And hopefully upto 9800 soon)
